About the Artist

Ronda Lanzi studied oil painting at The Loomis Chaffee School and later took courses in painting and architecture while completing her degree in engineering at Tufts University.

While living in London, Ms. Lanzi was a member of the Royal Horticultural Society and studied silk painting with John Farmelo, an internationally recognized artist, teacher, and member of the Silk Painters Guild.

In 2003 she traveled to Collioure, France to paint with other silk artists in a setting where the quality of light inspired Matisse, Derain, and Dufy, founders of the Fauvism movement.

Ms. Lanzi finds painting on silk an exciting and inspiring medium where the flow of color is even more immediate than watercolors. Ronda's Garden markets her unique silk scarves as well as framed art.
